FAQs

Do You Have Questions?

Pest Control technology and products have come a long way in recent decades. A while back you might have felt compelled to clean out your cupboards and move furniture around. Not anymore. The products are advanced enough that we can just treat around the objects in your home and it will still work effectively. If your cupboards are a high traffic area for pests, we might use alternative methods, like gels, in that location. It is harmless to humans and will be placed in an inconspicuous location in your cupboards, like corners and cracks and crevices.

The old adage is true, “you get what you pay for”. If your computer had a virus, you would want a competent professional to remove the virus. You wouldn’t be happy if the virus came back the week after you took it in. In the same way, if you’re in need of pest control, you need someone that will do the job right the first time. Radar Pest Control technicians are trained and fully vetted to make sure that you have the best experience possible (and that your pest problem disappears quickly!)

In short, yes. We only use products that have been tested and approved by national pest control standards. In addition, our treatment experts are trained in application methods that get rid of the pests but in a way that doesn’t pose a threat to children or pets. We will ask if there are any medical conditions present in the home (such as allergies) and adjust our treatment methods if needed.

Since the products that we use are safe, there’s no need to leave the home while we apply the products. If you prefer to leave the house until the product dries that is fine as well. It usually only takes between a half hour and an hour for this to happen. One reason that we like you to be home during the treatment, however, is so that you have a chance to ask questions and advise the technicians of any pest problems you’ve noticed in or around your home.

Our products are water-based, which means that they won’t stain any surfaces that we treat. You may see the slight mist until the product dries, but won’t be visible after that.

There are a few reasons why you should absolutely have regular termite inspections. Not only is the cost of the damages an important factor, but the builder’s warranty is void if you don’t have these inspections performed.

For most people here, their home is just too big of an investment to risk its value going down due to something as trivial as termites. They will pay for all kinds of insurance to protect the home but often fail to take into account for termites, which directly cause extensive damage to said investment. To be clear, it’s just not worth it to forget about the damages that termites could cause. You can rest easy knowing that Radar Pest Control is there to make sure your home keeps its value with simple and effective termite treatments.

The first thing to keep in mind when you find termites is to LET THEM BE. If you attempt to kill or spray them, they may divert their tunnels, making them harder for us to track down and eliminate. Our products work better when there are a higher percentage of termites around so when they walk across the product, it rubs off on them and spreads to the entire colony. If you find signs of termites or the insects themselves, give us a call and schedule an appointment. We’ll be able to detect where and how many there are and propose a solution.

Since our products are safe inside your home, there’s little worry. Just rinse off your hands and then you can go back about your business.

In most cases, a light rain won’t ruin the products’ effectiveness and we will proceed with the treatment. In the event of a deluge we will reschedule for a later date with better weather conditions.

We don’t believe in the “one size fits all” mentality that some other companies observe. We are forthright with our prices and will make sure that the treatment you receive is customized for your home.
